3000cn paper feeder gear
My Dell 3000cn stopped feeding paper and started giving me a paper jam error.
After taking it apart I found that the small white gear that is on the end of the main paper feed roller. (The one that pulls paper from the tray) was broken. There is a small part of the gear that hangs out to catch the other gears when the printer needs paper and that got sheared off.
I called Dell parts and Fax Micro at 972-690-1590 and no one know what the part number is or how to order it.
Does anyone know what this part is and where to buy it! I'm one month out of warrenty.
Don't tell me I have to chuck the whole printer because of one 25 cent gear!

After talking to some people at Dell I found out that you can't buy that part.
My solution was to buy an extra tray on ebay (cheap) and add it to the 3000cn.
The 3100cn came with an extra tray and lots of people sell them after the main printer dies and it will fit the 3000cn.
Then I only used that tray and ignored the broken one.
