3000cn Prints ghost or doulble images

I have a dell 3000cn laser printer and am having some issues with it. Many of the pages I print have ghosts printed somewhere else on the page. Say I am printing a bar code on the top right of the page, the bar code will print very lightly or messed up in the upper right and in the middle and bottom of the page it will appear again. I can try to get a picture of a messed up page and post it asap. Does anyone else have this problem or a fix to this?>

Could you measure from the bottom of the CN on the far right top of the page to the bottom of the ghost CN?

I would measure but I do not have that page anymore... THe paper it aws printed on was 8 1/2 x 11 and that was a scan of the entire page so I dont know if that helps. It has been doing it in differnt parts of the page lately too. This paper that it is ghosting on is about as thick as lables so I think that could have something to do with it. I printed a lot on regular paper and there was no ghosting. Is there a way I could tell the printer the paper is thicker?

That is probably the cause, you need to set the paper type.

As soon as you pull the tray out and put it back in, the printer asks to confirm “Size” and “Type”. On the type menu, scroll up/down the menu for different settings. It can also be changed by pressing the Menu button, scroll to the Tray menu, scroll to Paper source, scroll and set the type.
