3100cn problems with printing on phot paper

I'd double check that you are printing on LASER photopaper, ink-jet photo paper won't work. See if switching to another paper brand helps.

Yes, thanks. I am sure I am using laser paper. I bought the HP brand - the only kind that Staples had. Any other thoughts?

I've had very good success using HP Glossy Laser Photo Paper (part num Q6608A for 100 pk) for printing proofs and to a degree photos on my 3100cn. I put it in the MPF on coated 2 since this is really heavy stuff. The driver is set to high quality printing mode, with CMS for image adjustment mode. Things look excellent, rivaling inkjets and good enough for proofs.
Before I realized how to set different paper types I had the image flake off in the lower right corner if I did a proof sheet with a lot of photos on it. Now, I have no issues at all, besides the colors aren't perfect.
