5100cn Slow to print pages
I Have a 5100cn with 128 ram connected to a 100x network port on the network and a workstation running 512 ram with 100tx connection to hub with windows xp. The problem I am having is when I send a document around 60mb color to the printer time to print first page is about 2 minutes and each page after sent at same time takes about 2 more minutes between the time the first page ends and the second starts. Has any one else had issues like this?

If you are using PostScript, try PCL instead. The 3000/3100/5100 can take a long time to print PostScript even when they have sufficient RAM.

I would bet that the printer is having to do manipulation on the image and that is taking the time. In the printer properties when you go to print there are color manipulation options. Try turning them off. I don't like what they do to the image color anyway. If that doesn't work, is the image that you are sending already the correct size that will be printed? If not try resizing the image to 600dpi and whatever size you want the final printout to be and then print that file. When I was doing test prints on mine I was seeing artifacts in the image until I changed the dpi in the source image so that the printer didn’t have to.
Post back with your results. If nothing else maybe you can transfer me the file and I can try it on mine.
