924 GUI fails to install on XP

I can get the driver to install fine, the problem lies in teh the GUI functionality of the programs that used to come bundled with the driver.

I have a TON of pictures I need to scan in, and now is a great time to use that green "start" button on teh printer so i can scan directly into photoshop...but I need the GUI.

any ideas where i can get a standalone versionof teh gui?

if im not mistaken .. u must be getting that run time error message for the application .. i.e GUI .. i.e all in one center..
if u have got the printer drivers to install and u r able to print using USB .. then its great - u can scan even without using the bundled GUI thats included in the driver.

u can scan from computer as well .. from microsoft paint.
open up microsoft paint
clik on file
click on " from scanner or camera " - it will scan the pic in microsoft paint.. u can save it now wherever u want .
also u can open the save file in adobe photoshop to make any detailed changes that u may want to.

i read this article abt scanning into adobe photoshop on a webpage.

the link is : http://www.public.asu.edu/~mdelahun/are598/how_to_scan.html

one more thing
pressing SCAN button on printer wont help much..thats what i think..and since GUI isnt getting installed for some reason - scanning using the computer is good..

try out MS paint and adobe photoshop and do reply here as to which one worked out for u . thanks!

No runtime errors. it  just does not seem to be included in the driver package anymore.

in re: to the fact that the scan button doesnt work, thats the issue! I WANT it to work, it SHOULD work. I dont want to have to keep walking back and forth across the room from the printer to the computer to tell it to scan each image. i should be able to press teh scan button, move to the next image, the push the scan button again.
