A920 Printer

Hi - I have a A920 printer and the tab broke off the first time I have tried to replaced the black ink cartridge. I called Dell for assistance and they said your five months over warranty and there would be a charge for the repair and I told Dell representative that I have never removed the cartridge until now and they should honor the warranty. The rep. said there would be a charge. What to do

THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME WHEN I CHANGED THE BLACK CARTRIDGE.

I TRIED GLUEING IT AND THAT DIDN'T WORK AND THEN I TRIED TO TAPE IT AND THAT DIDN'T WORK. YOU MIGHT THINK THIS IS WEIRD BUT IT WORKED. PILLS THAT COME IN A BOX ARE SEALED IN A CASING COVERED WITH HARD PLASTIC AND FOIL ON THE BOTTOM.

SMASH IT DOWN WITH YOUR FINGERS AND PUSH THE LID OF THE CARTRIDGE DOWN, SLIDE THAT PLASTIC PIECE IN THE FRONT AND IT HOLDS IT BEAUTIFULLY. SOUNDS STRANGE BUT WHAT EVER WORKS IS WHAT I SAY RIGHT? LOL, HOPE I HELPED YOU.
