A920-won't print black ink or a document

I have not used my printer in like a year. At first neither cartridges worked. I soaked them and then cleaned the nozzles and now the color works fine, but not the black ink. It also wont print a document. I checked everything. It is set as the default printer, it is not on pause and when I try to print a document it just feeds into the printer and comes back out with nothing on it. HELP!

It is amost certainly the black ink cart. Setting for a year will allow the ink to dry and harden in the print head. I would retry the water soak with hot water for 15-30 minutes.

If you can't get it to work you will probably have to buy a new ink cart.

Thanks. I tried the soak thing like three times. The last soak was for like almost a hour. Lol. Still not working though. Would you happen to know why the documents are not printing?

If the paper is going through the printer like it is printing but there is no printing on the paper it is probably because the black ink is dried in the print head of the ink cartridge. You will probably have to buy a new black ink cartridge.

I thought so. Wasn't sure though. I'll do that and thanks alot. By the way you give excellent advice. My (soaking the cartridge) idea came from reading a previous posting on this same issue that you answered. Thanks again.:smileyvery-happy:
