A940 very strange printing problem - any ideas?

I have a A940 that generally works OK, but now and again it prints extremely slowly and produces sheets with thicker type, giving everything a slightly 'bold' look. For some reason, it only happens when the quality/speed setting in Properties is 'Normal'. It has never happened when the speed is faster or slower. It causes the printing to be slower than it would be in 'Best'. It seems to come and go in a completely random way, there's no obvious pattern to it.

Anyone else experienced this?

Possible causes for this could be

1. Someting running in the backround of your system effecting print speed/quality

2. Spyware or adware on your system good programs to clear this are adaware 6.0 & spybot SD

3. Possible dirver issue uninstall & reinstall printer drivers

Hope this helps

it could be just the print settings that may not be set right. Searchy is right. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver.
