Cannot Get Any Magenta Cartridge to Work

On my 1320C printer, the light for the magenta cartridge is blinking, along with the error light.  I tried replacing the magenta cartridge.  After that did not work, I ordered two more magenta cartridges.  Neither of those fixed it either.  The cartridges are Dell, and I do not have a problem with any other colors.  When I ordered the last 2 magenta cartridges, I ordered complete sets with all 4 colors.  The other colored new cartridges work, unlike the magenta.  

What could the problem possibly be?
