Can't scan with new laptop

Question

I could scan fine with my old Dell laptop, but with this one I got a few months ago (Vista) , when I try to scan I get :

dibaaiox.exe - Entry Point Not Found

Click OK then it says
AIOC exe has stopped working

I can print OK, just won't scan! I know if I go to live chat for tech support it will take 2 hours.......

Can anyone help me? I am NOT computer savvy at all and will need things explained in a very simple way. But I appreciate it!

Did you use a cd when you installed the driver or you downloaded one from their site?

I did not use a cd - I was on live chat with tech support when I first had trouble printing so they downloaded it from their site. Wish I had checked to see if I could scan when I was chatting with them then!   thanks
