tennis8492,

Did you already change your network? If so, then you'll have to conenct the printer with the USB Cable and set it up, again.

I changed my wireless setup (WPA instead of WEP and new password) but I can't see an option on the dell printer home program to change the wireless settings. It always connected via USB. Are you saying I have to uninstall the software and reinstal it again?

You should be able to get to the wireless setup by clicking on the desktop icon for the printer and when it opens up click on the "settings" tab.

Then you should see where it says "wireless setup utility"

If you don't have a usb connected it will prompt you to do so.

Then just follow the steps.

That is how I get to the wireless setup utility.

tennis8492,

Can you tell if your printer is connected to your network? Some printers allow a channel change but that is all. If the SSID or password and type of security are changed, you'll need to reinstall the printer, like you did when it was new.

It did connect to my network but right now it's blinking orange since I changed my password. I'm just trying to change the password on the wireless printer without having to reinstall the software.

Ron,

I did not see it on the settings page:

To change the password on the printer are you meaning the password for the SSID or the login password to log into the printer via browser like 192.168.2.1

If it is to change the printers SSID password you should be able to the way I posted in my last post by clicking on the printer icon on the desktop and select settings then click on wireless setup. It will say to plug in the usb cable and from there will search for wireless networks, when you see yours then click it and then it will ask for the password for the wireless network.

If it is the password for logging in to the printer via the browser by going to 192.168.x.x what ever your printers network IP address is then if it brings up the page there should be a password setup.

Have you ever logged into the printer by the browsers using the IP address? If you forgot that password I don't know how you would go about resetting that password. I think on the printers front panel the wrench button you might be able to reset the printer if im not mistaking, I know you can when logged in through the browser though. You would have to go through the menu on the printer using the wrench symbol and look in network or reset printer.

If you ever go to change the SSID or the pass phrase for the SSID make sure you do it via the browser FIRST before changing it in the router otherwise you will have to plug in the usb cable to the printer to change it. Its easier to change it by browser first while you can connect then change it in the router.

You don't have to uninstall the printer and reinstall the printer software, I never did to change settings.

So I'm having an issue where I connect the USB from my Dell V515w printer to my Mac to set up wireless, but the option to press "continue" never lights up to allow me to continue.  Is it the USB cable or my Mac that's the issue?  I can print just fine with the USB cable connected, but if I try to set up the wireless connection, it doesn't allow me to do so.  Not sure what the issue could be.  :/

I have a Mac mini OS 10.7.2  and just purchased a new Dell All in One V515w WiFi printer.  Having gone through couple hours of installation pain, came to find out that Dell printer driver only support everything up to MAC OS10.6

I tried to install the firmware anyway and it's said NOT supported.   Dell needs to come up with a new driver/firmware that support the new MAC OS 10.7.2

At this time unless Dell comes up with a newer driver.  I got the printer to work on my PC running Windows7 OS with no problem. I guess I need to buy another printer that is certified with MAC OS 10.7.2.
