Dell 1235cn Printer Driver

Hi @ all,

unfortunately I bought a Dell 1235cn printer. Though the product brochure says Linux drivers are available, this is not the fact. Thus, right now I am trying to install the printer out of Ubuntu 10.10 on a Virtual Machine in Win XP SP3 but when starting the installation CD-Rom the error message

"USB Device is not available. Please check the configuration of System and BIOS then config USB device as available status and try again."

appears. Actually, I don't know what this message will tell me. I can open the CD-ROM folder and see all the files, so in my view, it won't be a problem caused by virtualbox.

Has anyone experience with installing this printer on a Linux system or installing this printer on a virtual machine, respectively? Any Idea is welcome.

Regards, Patrick
