Dell 1320c won't print black

My Dell 1320c won't print black. Documents that should print in black come out red. I assumed that something was wrong with my black toner cartridge so I bought a new black cartridge. When I went to install it I discovered that someone in my office had replaced the black cartridge with a red cartridge. I thought the problem was solved but the printer will still not print in black. Please help.
