Dell 1355cnw Error 009-654 code 211000
Hi all,
Does anyone have a clue where to start looking for a solution to error 009-654 with "code 2110000" on a 1355cnw printer/scanner machine. This is one of the "mysterious" codes that Dell simply say "contact support" for.
Probably just means that there's a dust build up somewhere but wiped the CTD sensor and everywhere normally accessible to no avail. Don't want to start disassembling without a clue where to aim first.
Prior to generating the code the printer had just output at least a dozen pages with perfect quality print.
Thanks in advance,
Mark

i would like to have the answer to this mystery also. i have tried, unsuccessfully i might add, to resolve this issue. I have tried online with and without assistance...help.
It was working one day...and then it wasn't.
Thanks,

I'm having the same problem, and I'm not able to go beyond this error.

We gave up. As we had a few spare toners looked about and bought the newer model C1765nf (didn't ever use the wireless). Disappointed that even this newer model only connects at 10 Mb/s but will allow us to use the toner we have. Old model gone to recycling dump - annoying as it was probably recoverable with a little knowledge but Xerox/Dell definitely don't make open source products.
Suggestion to all software writers; if you can put in a cryptic code you can just as easily make a message intelligible to a human these days.

I was able to resolve the dreaded 009-654 on my c1765nfw. I downloaded/installed the usb driver for the printer and connected the printer to a usb port on my computer. I downloaded the latest firmware driver. I started the printer with a toner cartridge removed. I ran the Dell firmware upgrade program and it recognized that the printer was connected and loaded the firmware. When the firmware installation completed, I restarted the printer and everything is working again.
This solution may work on all other Dell printers that experienced the same error.

It also worked on my 1355cnw, Removed a cartridge. Loaded the latest firmware via usb and bingo. Slight panic printing blank until I switched the printer off and back on.

Yes, it worked for me. Thanks a ton. You are a life saver. As suggested, it is important that the cartridge is removed while trying to update the firmware. Otherwise the printer won't be recognised. Can't thank you enough!!
