Dell 2150cn Color Laser Printer

Hello,

At my company, we have a Dell 2150cn Color Laser Printer on a Win 7 64-bit computer(using the 64-bit driver). We use a program called Financial Edge(32-bit application). We were able to print from this application, when we had a Canon printer, but we upgraded to the new Dell printer and now it gives the following error|

Print driver host for 32bit applications has stopped working

Application Name: splwow64.exe

This application worked fine with the old printer, and the printer seems to work fine with other applications.

Hi occrraIT

Welcome to the Dell Community Forum.

It seems to be the problem with that the application is not getting compatible with the new printer. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers from the www.support.dell.com
Put in the service tag of the printer and choose the operating system and download the drivers and install it.
Restart the computer and check.
Please try the steps and reply back to the post and would be glad to help you out and assist you further.

Thank You,

Typically drivers are compatible across different printers. If the 2150cn specific Dell driver is not working you might try using the Dell Open print driver, perhaps a generic driver or even test the old cannon driver that you know worked and see if the printer will accept it. Worst case it should print out some jibberish and you know that specific driver is not compatible with the printer.
