Dell 3110 Replace black cartridge
I am getting a "replace black cartridge" message and the printer will not print. If I remove and replace the cartridge, printing will continue for a limited number of copies. The frustrating thing is that the print quality is fine, no streaking or any other indication that the cartridge is low. I never received a warning that the cartridge was getting low like I have with the other colours.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi PPendvck,
1st insert and reinsert the drum and toner cartridge. Turn off the power to do that.
Next,
Try clearing the NVRAM. Right off memory, I can't remember the exact procedure, but it goes something like this: Go to the printer operator panel, hit setup-->admin setup-->init NV..
Finally, try a known good Dell Toner Cartridge and see if the problem persists.
The important thing is that you fine the init NV.. Dell printer support could probably look up the exact instructions in 15 minutes.
