Did you have any success fixing this?  We just bought one 3115cn and can't believe the low quality of the drivers and configuration tools.  We can't get scanning to work at all.

No, as yet there hasent been any help on the subject
I'm tempted to try and write my own drives for it.

You need to use the scan to network feature, and in the address book set the user profile to scan to a share using a specific account.
