Dell 5310 Laser printer....900.0 RIP software error
We have about 15 of these and they are all stopping with the "900.00 RIP software errors. When I called Dell support they said to update the firmware, which I did to the newest on their site, but that didn't help either? Also using the newest driver from the Dell website for these printers, that didn't help! Seem like the problem is more consistant printing .PDF files? Does anyone have a solution for this nightmare?
Printer running of a Win2k8 print server.
Thanks, Tandrist

Tandrist,
Don't know if you have tried it yet. But can you print a configuration page on the machines? This will rule out if your formatter boards are bad or not. I guessing this is all software.
Straight from the manual
900.xx Error code service check
FRU Action1
Printer POR Turn the printer off and on several times. If Error Code 900 continuesto display, go to step 2.
System board Turn the machine off and on several times, waiting a few minutes
between power on and power off.
If Error Code 900 continues to display, go to step 3.
Factory defaults Restore factory defaults. See “Factory Defaults” on page 3-28 3 2.This resets the non-critical areas of the user NVRAM. If Error Code
900 continues to display, go to step 4.
Sub error codes With Error Code 900 displayed, press and . Record the
4“Base
printer sub error codes” on page 2-9
. If none of the Sub Error
Codes are listed, then call your next level of support
Let me know if you need any other help. This is a good one.

You can try to follow the official recomendation for this error from Lexmark. It did work for me. My problem was not with the printer, it was with a job stucked on the printer server.

Good luck :emotion-1:
