Try this. Soak print head (bottom) of ink carts in 1/2 inch of hot water for 15 to 30 minutes, blot dry with clean paper towel and re-install.

I have this exact same problem. I tried soaking the print heads in hot water as suggested but still no joy. My printer is only 2 months old and I haven't done much printing. Did you manage to resolve this problem? If so what did you do? I submitted a case request to Dell Support 3 weeks ago but have heard nothing. Help appreciated.

Do you ever get any ink flow from the carts? The cleaning page, the alignment page, when cleaning in hot water. If you can' get any ink to flow directly from the carts, then it's an almost 100% chance that it is just the ink carts and not any printer or driver problems. If there is ink in the cart then cleaning in hot water works 97% of the time. It may take more than one soaking. And when you blot the print head with a paper towel you should get some amount of ink on the towel. If there are times you can get ink flow from the carts and it still won't print then the problem is likely the driver or printer. Most of the time it is the ink carts. The least likely cause is a broken printer. And a messed up driver software problem cause, is somewhere in between. Replacing the ink carts would let you know for sure whether or not it's the carts or something else.
