michael2527,

Operating system in English?

First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.

Disconnect the printer.

Download and run the patch(printer cleanup utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.

Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed.
Manual Printer Driver Removal

Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode You'll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on).

Links to the patch/drivers can be found at...

Remember virus programs and firewalls will block communications.

Hi there,

i have this problem too and successfully installed the vista drivers following these instructions (as best as I could) however as soon as I completed this my computer stopped connecting to my wireless router and when I looked at troubleshooter it confirms that there are problems with the router, however I know the router is working fine because it works with other devices (phone, tablet etc). When I click on the internet symbol the PC no longer detects any local wi-fi networdk at all.  Windows support lists a 'newly installed driver'  as one of the possible reasons for this problem. Have I done something wrong during the vista installation process? Do u have any suggestions as to how I can fix this? Many thanks indeed :)

Lucy85,

Did you recently install/reinstall Windows Vista?

What virus program and firewall are you using?

Can you run Network Interface and post the information back here.

Hi,

I downloaded windows vista drivers directly from windows.

There is avast antivirus on the PC and also windows firewall with added security.

I ran the network interface as instructed and this is what came up 'there is no wireless interface on system, hosted network status not available'

Thank you for your continued help with this.

Lucy,

If you installed the operating system, did you install the drivers in the correct order? How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order

To run Network Interface your computer needs to be connected to the internet.
