Dell All in one printer run in with lightning

Just a hunch. Unplug the printer for about 5 minutes and let everything discharge. Disconnect the power brick, if you'd like. Then try plugging it back in.

Thanks, last night i did just that and left it uplugged all night. plugged it in no luck, today I am going to do it again as well as unplug the cable to the computer and try again tonight when i get in. thanks for you response

Hey there....

 

You should have a LED on the power brick.. Check if that it is glowing...

If yes : Then it means that the brick is getting power and the printer is most likely to be bad.

If no : Then either power brick or the power cable is bad.. try swapping the cable or try to get a new one.. if it still doesnt work then send it back to the manufacturing company.... Atleast, if it works it will save you from spending another 250 dollars...

Thanks for your input,,,and yes the little green light is glowing and it helps to hear that someone agrees with my diagnosis that it (printer) is history. During this event ,the lightning got my phone modem in the computer also. I only hope that when the new printer comes in that the computer will load it up. Thanks again

Your new printer will surely work with your computer.. Though, If I may suggest you,

 

Try to buy 948 or 968 printer... They both have internal modems and wireless cards... So fax and wireless printing wont be of any problem for you...
