Dell Color Track 2 on CUPS based computers (Linux / Mac) ?

Question

I have a Dell 3130cn Color Laser printer and would like to use the Color Track 2 feature on Linux and Mac based computers. However, we could not work out how to configure CUPS that is used on both Macs and Linux systems to successfuly send the username and password in order to get Color Track 2 working properly.
