Dell Photo 928 Error 1101
Hello there, I recently changed a black cartridge in my Photo 928. A test sheet was duely printed, and then when going to print a file "Error 1101 Out of paper" appeared. Paper is inserted okay nothing wrong there. Tried unplugging eveything and also re=installed software. Nothing. The colour cartridge was low so I put in a new colour cartridge. It waon't even print a test page now, just comes up with the out of paper 1101 message. Checked that Photo 928 default printer and it's the only one running off the computer. Can anybody help please?

CivvyCivvy,
Unplug the printer from the wall. Now remove the power brick from the back of the printer for 60 seconds. This will reset any error messages the printer has.
Plug everything back in and power on the printer. Now remove the Dell Series 10 Color cartridge. Make sure the tape is off the cartridge and reseat the cartridge. Then close the printer and it will print an alignment page. Any error messages?
Dell Series 10 ink cartridges have a sensor in them that cannot be reset. Article on refilling Dell ink cartridges
Dell Series 10 ink cartridges can be purchased at Staples, Walmart or Dell's Website.
It is possible the cartridge has a bad sensor. Try taking it back to the place of purchase for a replacement.
