Dell Photo Printer 540

I have this printer installed on my Dell Dimension 4600 along with an HP 1115 Photoprinter (parallel) and a CanoScan Lide 30 (USB) and it prints pictures well enough. However, I keep getting -- every time I boot up -- that it can't install the "disk drive" drivers. The 540 printer is listed 4 times on the hardware profile under "disk drives" with exclamation points, each of which states that there are no drivers installed. I have tried installing the drivers, removing the printer and un-installing the software and re-installing several times, but each time I get the same notice multiple times on startup, that "an error occurred during the installation of the deveice. The specified service does not exist as an installed service".  

 

It also gives me the same message for my Maxtor USB2.0 external hard drives, although the drives work properly. I would appreciate any input. Thanks.
