Dell V305 printer in Windows 7 OS Requiring Older Version of NET Framework
How do I get the Dell V305 printer to work in Windows 7 OS without NET Framework V2.0?
I recently acquired a brand new Dell V305 All In One Printer which had never been taken out of the box! Knowing that there was an updated driver for V305 for Windows7, I downloaded and installed it.
The printer seems to be working fine via USB however, when trying to access the Tool Box app, I keep getting a message telling me that I need to download and install Microsoft .NET Framework V2.0. When I first boot up, I also get the same message. I've downloaded V2.0 however Windows 7 won't let me install it in Windows 7 OS. I all ready have the latest NET Framework. Every time I print, the printer status window tells me the printer is out of ink despite the fact that I recently put in new cartridges.
Shouldn't the solution have been included in the updated driver?
What to do?
Thanks.

PCKlutz,
Please read...
Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Error After Upgrading to Windows 7
Are you using Dell Series 9 ink cartridges?
If you unplug the printer from the wall and remove the power brick for 60 seconds, this will reset any error messages the printer has. I would then plug everything back in.
Power on the printer.
Open the printer(with the power on) and take out the Dell Series 9 black cartridge and then reseat it. I would then take out the color Dell Series 9 ink cartridge and reseat it. Now close the printer and it will print an alignment page.
Any error messages?
black cartridge = black side(left side) color cartridge = color side(right side)
photo cartridge = black side(left side) color cartridge = color side(right side)
Dell Series 9 ink cartridges have a sensor in them that cannot be reset. Article on refilling Dell ink cartridges.
Dell Series 9 ink cartridges can be purchased at Staples, Walmart or Dell's Website.
It's possible to get a Dell Series 9 ink cartridge with a bad sensor. I would take these back to the place of purchase for a replacement.
