Faint Print, Dell 5100cn Color Laser Printer

Faint print, black and all colors from Dell 5100cn. Everything seems to print at about 10% density. Smooth, no splotches, fading or bands. No error messages in LCD window. Replaced image drum/transfer roller bundle, then fuser roller assembly without change. Ran Dell web troubleshooting to check MCU parameters and test prints for black 20% and CMY 20% per help document. No change. Have latest Dell driver on Windows XP Pro 2003, SP 3 on Dell Dimension 8400. I'm stumped. Can anyone suggest?

I am having the same trouble, except only the black is faint. The other colors comes out clean and crisp. I have changed the transfer roller and the imaging drum but no change on the black print. Can anyone out there suggest anything. You have helped successfully before.  Please help again

tmarie4027, a few months ago, my black was printing faint or I saw text "ghosting" on printed document background. It ended up being a bad, 3rd party black cartridge. I narrowed it down by printing a test document that had the font color as Cyan (RGB code is 0 255 255) only, no black. The Cyan printed out fine. So, I replaced the black toner cartridge. I still had the ghosting text but after the bad toner worked it's way out of the system, it seemed to print ok. Hope this helps.
