Having issues with AIO 924 printer Windows XP
Hello! I'm having some connection issues with my Dell AIO 924 printer. My operating system is Windows XP, and my computer is a Dell XPS series. I am able to copy/print from my AIO 924, but when I try to scan a document or print a document from my computer, nothing happens and it is hard to delete the print job from the query. I have recently done a Windows update as well as a Java update when this problem started. I have tried restarting my computer and have disconnected my printer for about 30sec to a minute to see if it will take, but still nothing happens.
Does this mean I have to uninstall the driver and then reinstall? Or am I missing something else that could be an issue?
Any help at all would be appreciative! Thanks!
~Amanda

Amanda,
First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print jobs in the queue.
Disconnect the printer.
Download and run the patch(printer cleanup utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.
Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal
Download the proper drivers.
Install the proper drivers. You'll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on)
Links to the patch/drivers can be found at...

Go to the USB Controller section and click the + sign.
Go to each USB Root Hub and right click on it, left click properties, left click power management. Uncheck the box, allow computer to turn off this device to save power.
Restart your computer.
