Help please! Faxing with 942 All In One Printer

Yes your are right  Dell AIO 942 printer does not have a phone jack at the back and if you want to use the fax feature

First you need to have a dial up modem on your computer and you can use the microsoft fax utility to send and receive faxes

It says there are no modems installed with this computer.  Please install a modem now.  I don't understand that when it says there is one on the packing list.

You can go to device manager and check if you have modem installed on your computer.

If not listed in that case you need to but an internal modem to use the fax feature

Thank you, Syed, for your reply.   How do I know if I have a dial up modem on my computer?  It says I have V.92/56K PCI DataFax, int modem, dim, tied on the packing list. 

I am having the same problem.  I have the 942 as well w/o the phone jack.  I understand that I do not need that however, how do I get to the Device Manager to find out if I have an internal modem?
