Large File Size for Scanned Documents for Dell AIO 962 Printer

Question

When I scanned documents using the Dell AIO 962 All-in-One printer, the file sizes are huge.  For example, the size of a two page text document scanned totaled approximately 8 mb.   I have performed all updates available for this printer but the problem still exists.  Can anyone help point me in the right direction.  Thanks.

It appears that there is a bug in the All-in-One software application.  The application doesn't to allow to scan a file in a lower resolution mode.  However, if you use a program such as Adobe Acrobat and scan from the program the integration to the scanner works properly and the file sizes are much smaller.
