Left Print Cartridge Not Correct

We have a Dell Photo (AO1) 924 and just replaced the cartridges with Dell cartridges and now we get an error message: Left Print Cartridge Not Correct! This is a Dell M4640 black cartridge that was recommended by Dell.  What can I do to get the printer to work again?

From previous posts with that problem is has usually turned out to be a defective cartridge.  There is an IC chip inside that reports, among other things, the cartridge type to the printer.  Call Dell for a cartridge replacement. 
 
Also, install the old cartridge and see if it reports the correct cartridge.  That will confirm that the printer hardware is OK and that it's the new cartridge.
