new ink for aio 942

k, i put in a new black ink cartridge and color cartride the same day, since the "pop ups" saying the ink was low,, the things still pop up and now say that the black still needs replacing,,, how do i "reset" this

I don't think you can reset the ink cartridge. Lexmark lets you do that but Dell does not allow you to do that. If they are new cartridges I would call Dell for replacements.

Three easy things to try.

wipe the electrical contacts on the back of the black ink cartridge. See if message changes.

If not,
To reset the printer to null. Press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Press and hold it down again for another 30 seconds. Turn printer on and see if message has changed.

If that doesn't work, then unplug power cord and USB cable from printer for 30 seconds. Reconnect, turn on power, and try printing again.
