New insight into Wireless Vista/AIO 966 - Printer communication stopped
I know there have been several related threads to this issue, but I haven't found one that solves my problem...any insight would be greatly appreciated!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I just received a new 9400/E1705 running Vista (with Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N) and new wireless AIO966 2 days ago. After "Printer Communication System" problem occurred, I too was told to uninstall and reinstall with the latest driver (R145450). To no avail. Oh it works for about 5 minutes after reboot before the "Printer Communication System" stopped pops up. Funny thing is, 3 weeks ago they sent me a E1705 and this problem didn't occur (a Sonic one did), they had to send me a new 1705 'cause of a motherboard problem...then this arrives with no motherboard problem, just a printer problem (and no Sonic issue)!
I have a Dell dimension also networked in and running XP, and it works fine with the 966. Additionally, I cannot do scanning to the Vista notebook, list not found always pops up - must be related. I can do it to the XP box.
I too just spent 4 hrs on the phone with Dell and got passed on from printer folks to vista folks...and no one seems to even be aware of this or this community! Their common problem database didn't seem to include this issue.
Any new ideas?
One other weird thing, after I reboot my machine, If I do not login reasonably soon after the screen appears, I only get limited access to the network with NO internet connectivity, but if I do log in fairly quickly, I NEVER have that happen and it connects normaly...any explanations??

Dell!!! Have you disabled the firewall ? Have you updated the firmware ?
Do you have the correct drivers ? Have you tried to unistall and
reinstall the software ?? Whats next dell, are you going to ask us if we
have the printer plugged in ? ...Absolutley no help at all.......Why
dont you just tell us that you do not know what is going on......Do
you people not see all of these printer communication problems going on
??......Why don you try reading all of these posts in this forum!!
Every other post is a something about printer communication has stopped
working......You people need to huddle up and figure out a dang fix for
this.....This is getting old and very ridiculous! You have a lot of
upset people right now because you cant seem to tell us what is going on
with this and how to fix it!!"

I believe I am not the only one having this problem with vista and the wireless 3300.....I have seen I dont know how many other posts with people having the same problem!!....We have all performed the steps asked by you and the dell techs over in India and I have yet to see anyone have any luck......I think I speak for everyone else when I say, We just want some answers as to what the problem is with this.....None of you people from Dell are telling us anything! ....We all have spent a lot of money on Dell equipment and we deserve some kind of support to any issues that we have. I am going on 3 months with a brand new printer that I cant even print from because of this problem. I have done everything you and your tech support have told me to and nothing has worked. You people just leave us hanging!.....THIS IS ABSOLUTLEY UNACCEPTABLE!!..... I PROMISE YOU, AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE WITH DELL, I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH YOU PEOPLE AGAIN! .......WORD OF MOUTH SPREADS LIKE FIRE!
