If no one can answer my first question, maybe this one will work - Is there ANY Dell "All-In-One"  Printer that is capable of reverse/re-directed printing?

 CWil710,

I have a Dell V715 Wireless Printer. I have it setup on my network using these Recommended Wireless Router Settings, I use channel 11. All of our computers can print with no issues. I have XP, Vista and Windows 7 computer(s) with 32-bit and 64-bit systems and have not had any problems.

I was never sue about networking the computers, the children do not want to connect with dad's computer, go figure. So I never had a chance to try this. Thinking out loud, not sure if you can print from another state. Some things tom think about...

Can you copy the document and put the dosument on the computer at home?

Can you click on that document at home and see it?

Can you click file, print and print the document from there?

I don't have these answers as I never got a chance to network computers.

A little information is better than none and this is the best I can provide for you.

I do know that if it is a printer that uses a port other than com, lpt or usb there is a way to get it to work by changing the registry editor, but I don't know if all printers that do use com, lpt or usb ports will work correctly.

"I want to print to my local printer (redirect) when connected to a remote Windows PC through Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) "

I knew that I wouldn't have a problem with the V715W working with my Windows 7 laptop.  I am concerned that it won't work as I described above.  When I connect my laptop to the workstation in the other state, and I tell it to print, it will print in the other state and not on my local printer.   I just want to know if this printer is capable of "redirect" printing before I purchase it.

Thanks.

I just downloaded the manual for this printer and there is a section talking about bidirectional printing, so I just ordered it.  Hope it works like I need it to.

CWil710,

I don't know if the printer can do what you're wanting it to. I am happy with the wireless printer function and will always have a wireless printer in my home.

Sorry I could not be of much help.
