Printer and computer registering ink cartridge empty even though I changed it 2 weeks ago.

When you print with the cartidge, does it print with the quality of a new cartridge? And have you tried reinstalling the software on your computer?

              The prints are of a good quality with both the black and colour cartridges.   It's just that I will never know when my cartridges need replacing.   I changed the colour cartridge 2 days ago and that one is also registering empty!!!   I will try reinstalling my software.   Thanks very much -- I'll get back to you if you are around.

You should see a screen (typically lower R/H corner) asking if old or a new cartridge was installed.  Click on 'new' cartridge.  You may need to pull a cartridge and reinstall it to see this screen.
