Printer Cartridges for 962 All In One

Question

I am EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED.  I have been trying for quite some time to order color cartridges for my 962 All-In-One Printer. I have contacted customer service via the Internet, they tell me to call the 800 number, I call them and they say that the item can be ordered on line, so I go on line--every link I find, says to order via 800 line, and ...etc., etc.   I need to order M4646. I tried entering the number and it says no such number.  So I go to the link to order ink for the 962 and it brings up a cartridge with a big 'bump' on the top of the cartridge.  A cartridge with the 'bump' on the top will NOT let me close the catch to hold the cartridge in.  What am I to do?  I cannot buy ink in a retail store, Dell sells me ink cartridges 'for my printer' which will NOT fit the holder!   I have ink cartridges (7Y745) which my friend ordered which will not fit that we will be sending back. Please contact me asap so I can get this issue resolved.  Is anyone else having this problem?  Do you have a solution?

Why not refill your ink carts for $2.50 per fill with a Universal or I-Print refill kit availavble at hundreds of discount, dept., and drug stores. I have refilled my 922 ink carts more than a dozen times and it has always worked perfect. The flat top carts are the easiest to refill and only take a minute.

We have had cartridges filled at Cartridge World and they do well.  Have thought about filling them, so may give it a try.  I did find that when I put in a cartridge that was just filled, not new, that I would get the message that I am out of ink.  But could manipulate to print.  Do you know a way to reset the printer that it has a new cartridge?

ou can't reset the ink levels on printer models ending in 2, but it makes no difference to printing.
