Depends on the operating system it's running more than the hardware. If it's running an obsolete OS (anything older than Windows 10), you will need to make sure there are drivers for whatever it is running.

Almost any modern USB or wireless printer will work with your Dell Inspiron e1505 as long as Windows drivers are available, compatibility depends on driver support, not the laptop itself
