Problem with new Photo 926 Printer

Question

I recently bought a new Dell Inspiron and a Dell Photo All-In-One Printer 926. The printer is not Vista compatible, even though I used the disc marked 'Windows Vista'.  I've been told I can buy Windows 2000 or Windows XP software, but I don't want to do that.  Does anybody have any idea how I can get my printer to work?  I can't download the driver software on my dial-up connection - it would take several hours, and I don't think I should have to buy software when the printer is new.  Thanks!

I have an AIO 926 and it works just fine with VISTA HOME PREMIUM. Did have to download the vista drivers from DELL.

If your portable system has wireless go to a local hotspot and download the driver and save it to your system while at the hotspot. Then install it later when you have the printer.
