Problem with photo 924 printing with gaps
i am us
ing a photo 924, the scanner works f
ine, but when
i pr
int (
i only have a black
installed, no color)
it pr
ints fast and good, all except for gaps
in the pages, but
it pr
ints all the content,
its l
ike
it just moves the paper too far for the next l
ine.
it also overlaps on itself somet imes, i th ink onces it pr ints a gap, but maybe it just is overlapp ing for no reason.
i tr ied re- install ing the dr iver, but that d id not work.
it is not under warranty, and if there is no f ix, what other pr inters would be compat ible w ith the ink cartr idge?
Thanks

It could be because there is no color cartridge installed. Not having the cartridge is a candidate for various potential problems. Most will not even work without the color cartridge, even if all you are printing is black.
I don't know which new model(s) use the same ink cartridge, if any. That should not even be a consideration for a new model.
If you are ONLY printing in black, consider a laser printer as the cost per print is much less than an ink jet. I've seen some HP and other brands for under $100.
