Ready to chuck it out the window

I spent an hour+  reconfiguring and reinstalling the drivers for my 1355cnw printer.  It printed beautifully from my laptop for exactly one day.  Again nothing will print.  I get an error message every time I try to print.  Do I need to uninstall everything again and start over?

Hi Teddi9192,

To assist you further, I would like to know how the printer is connected to the laptop, is it with a USB or wireless?

Also, please reply with the error message that appears on the screen when you print.

Awaiting your response!

it was working attached to a usb but why buy a wireless printer so I reconfigured the wireless and it worked for 1 day the error that appears in the printer box on my laptop is error-printing.  Nothing shows up on the printer.

Hi Teddi9192,

Perform the steps below and ensure that the services required for the printer to work are started.

  1. Press the “Windows + R” to launch the run window.
  2. Type “Services.msc” in the run window and hit the Enter key.

Right click each service mentioned below, click properties. Set the startup type as “Automatic” from the drop down menu and click “Start”. Please click “Apply” to save the changes.

The services to be enabled are:

  • Human Interface Devices (HID).
  • Printer Spooler.
  • RPC (Remote Procedure Call).
  • RPC Locator (Remote Procedure Call Locator).
  • Windows image acquisition (WIA).
  • Windows Installer.

Restart the computer after the Services are started, and try to print document.

If the issue persists, disable Firewall in antivirus program from the computer and check; if you are able to print after firewall is disabled in the computer, then printer needs to be given exceptions in firewall settings.

Please check and reply for any further help.
