Refilled cartridges for AIO 924

No way that I know of.  The ink cartridges have an internal sensor (chip) that monitors the ink level (usage) and once it reports "low ink" (for example) it will never show anything else as that chip can not be reset. 

 

Most new printers/ink cartridges use some type of "smart sensor" that can't be reset and it's the manufacturers way of making you buy new cartridges.  The printer vendors sell the printers (or all in ones) at or near cost and then make the profit off of the replacement cartridges. 

So I hear. "Sunny" has been refilling her 924 without any problems. She gets the level warning, but it still prints anyway. Mine used the color cart to print black when the black was out. Anyway, I am going to refill my new Dell carts  before I get those annoying level warnings and see if that works. Don't see why it wouldn't. Luckily, I don't do much printing at the moment. Now my next fight will be with PrintPal, the co. who sold me a worthless refill kit to begin with.

That may or may not circumvent the "low" or "out of ink" messages.  The internal chip in most brands of cartridges doesn't really monitor the ink level, it "counts" how many ink drops or characters were printed and uses that to determine when the ink is "low", etc. 

That would certainly put a damper on my idea.
