T.30 Log, Wasting paper

I need help turning off the T.30 log print on my Dell Photo 966. I currently have the setting to print only on error when sending or receiving faxes;however, this T.30 log wastes 2-3 pages for every outgoing or incoming fax... problem or no problem. Anyone know how to disable it? I have tried everything in the settings menu, both directly through the printer or using the Dell All In One menu on my PC.

Did you get any resolve to your issue? I noticed there were no replys. I have a customers dell 968 in here that does the same thing and i've done everything you listed also but still no success.

Hi tdowis,

Please follow the below mentioned steps to stop the printer from printing the Fax reports:

Select the “Fax Setup” menu using printer’s menu buttons, select “History and Reports”, select “Confirmation” and change it to Always “Off”.

Hope this helps!

Thank you Nikhil, I had already done that, but I went back and double checked and it was still that way. Here's how I went: Setup->Change Fax Default Settings->History and reports->Report: I have set to "Manual" and Confirmation: I have set to "Off". And it still prints a log page. :

Hi tdowis,

You can access the Fax Setup Utility to configure the printer's fax settings from your computer.

  1. For Windows Vista: Click “Start”, select “Programs”, click “Dell Printers”, click “Dell 968 AIO Printer”.
For Windows XP and Windows 2000: Click “Start”, select “Programs” or “All Programs”, click “Dell Printers”, click “Dell 968 AIO Printer”.
  2. Select “Dell Fax Setup” Utility. The Dell Fax Setup Utility Wizard Query dialog box opens.
  3. To use the Fax Setup Utility Wizard to set up your printer for faxing, click “Yes”. To manually adjust your fax settings, click “No. The Dell Fax Setup Utility dialog box opens.
  4. On this tab select “Fax Printing/Reporting”. Select “Specify when to print a fax activity report”. Select “Specify when you want to print a fax confirmation”.
  5. Save the changes and exit.

Hope this helps!

tdowis,

I don't have this printer anymore, and forgot to take screenshots. There is a setting somewhere in...

Click on Start, all programs, Dell Printer, AIO Printer 966, Printer setup Utility,

There is a setting there to turn it off, if my memory serves me correctly.

DELL-Nikhil D,

Thanks for locating that information. I knew there was a setting in the Fax utility, but since I did not take a screenshot, could not remember the settings.

I'm certain the information you provided is what Terry, is looking for.
