trouble installing firmware v. 102407 for AIO498

The installation utility displays a timeout error at about 16% when attempting to install firmware v. 102407 for DELL AIO498 - just recently released. Tech Support had no clue. I am running a HP Pavillion (i believe) 8100 quad core.
Any ideas?

I don't find an AIO 498 model listed in the Dell printer download list.  Please confirm the model number.
 
And, was the printer communicating and working correctly before attempting to do the firmware update?

I would suggest trying it again, if you want.  But, to be truthful I don't see much in the upgrade unless the one specific photo issue is something that would pertain to you.  Otherwise there is no need to install it.
 
Follow the instructions EXACTLY and do not have anything else running when you do the install.
