Vista and AIO 922, COMMUNICATION ERROR

Using the Dell All-In-One Center, I can Scan without error.  The scanned image is ok, communication with the AIO device is ok.

But when I try to print, I get the error "Communication Not Available".
The Windows Firewall is OFF.
This was not a Vista upgrade, Vista Home Premium was preinstalled on this Dell Dimension E521.
I reinstalled the printer driver by using the method described in "COMMUNICATION ERROR received after installing Vista Printer Driver" post.
The error persists.
Thanks for any help.

I have a AIO 922 and upgraded to Vista and printer stopping printing, I was told that until Dell comes out with Vista drivers in April, there is nothing that can be done to .

Same for me when I bought new computer with 32bit Vista.  Downloaded R151371.exe from dell site after selecting OS as vista32.  Scanner works but printer communication error.  Have tried all the troubleshooting ideas to no avail!!!!!!!!!

Update!  I found a workaround, and a fix to this problem.

Workaround:  I hooked the printer up to a machine running XP instead of Vista.
This worked for some time, but this second machine was my work laptop, and printing was inconvenient.

Fix:  Replace with a HP All In One printer (in my case, 3210).
