White Streak on Dell 3000cn

I had a similar problem twice with my 3000cn within a week of delivery.

The first problem was very similar to yours except that the streaks were on the edges and that mine printed perfectly in color and only messed up in black & white.  Dell was great and sent a technician to my house the next day.  I was surprised to find out that my yellow cartridge was not in all the way.  It was weird because the yellow itself was printing fine.  So, check all four cartridges.

 

About a week later I had another streak.  That time I only had to use the brush (right side) to clean the unit.

Could u fix the Problem? I have the same now.

I followed the suggestions from Cetera above, but that did not work. I called the helpline and they asked me to remove each of the toner cartridges, check they were clean and replace them. Still I had white streaks, so they sent out an engineer who arrived next day. He pulled out the cleaning pad and changed the black toner (the big one that goes in the top of the printer). The printer is now working fine.

Id first recommend pulling the cleaning rod in and out several times, around 40. the reason that number is so high is because the cleaning pad barely touches the laser glass so as to prevent scratches. If that doesnt work, it sounds like you may need an Imaging Drum replacement, thats the big black thing in top. The black toner loads throught he front like allthe other toners.
