Windows 7 driver for dell 922 printer

I updated my pc with windows 7 and i like it alot.

For some reason i notice that using the windows vista 32 bit driver on windows 7 doesnt work on my pc?

I looked at a website i where i was searching and it said this printer isnt compatible

I am going to be upset if there is no driver. Does anyone else have this problem and have a solution?

Followed your instructions and removed old printer drivers using my disk and driver removal link above, checked Java version, and downloaded Vista 32-bit drivers using above link and my old AIO Dell printer 922 finally connected. Hi recently upgraded my tower from Windows XP to version 7 which would not support old AIO. right, printers are cheap, around $100, but this old one works fine, with scanner and copier. Thanks for the help.

Hi I just wanted to let you guys know that I had the problem discussed here, Windows 7 32 bit system with a Dell AIO 922 printer and all the drivers on the Dell site didn't work. But I found a driver here http://download.cnet.com/Dell-Photo-AIO-Printer-922/3000-2116_4-185831.html That did work. Hope that helps anyone else that struggles. Thanx for your support all of you. Having said that, now I get an error; Time executable has stopped working every time I print. Still better than not being able to print. Scan and copy still works fine. I have done antivirus scans with AVG, Bitdefender and Microsoft Security. if anyone has a fix for that great, otherwise I'll keep clicking through it each time. Thanx Nicky

Nicky,

First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.

Disconnect the printer.

Download and run the patch(printer cleanup utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.

Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal

Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode You'll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on).
