are you using the Internal Network Adapter ? if you do, try reconfiguring the Adapter using the CD driver of your 966 printer.. :smileywink:

Yes, I am using the internal card. I have tried using the latest driver from the web as well as the CD. No luck. After 2 marathon sessions with customer service, one clocking in at almost 3 hours and the second at 2 hours. I was told by a Dell rep that I needed to be connected (Via USB), to a pc that was connected wirelessly to my network...whatever. This is the second printer and the second card that I have tried.

Hi!

I managed to connect to my router D-link 635N with Dell Photo 966 printer with WPA2 encryption. It´s abit tricky but its working fine. I was lucky to find a guy(Dell/Sweden) who was interested to solve this with me and together we managed to get rid of the problem.

He´s gonna put the solution out on this forum for all of you. I hope you read this and get some wnew hope. If you want to ask something u can email me.

Regards
Joel

Can you post the procedure to make the printer work with the WPA security?. My printer only works fine without security settings, but not with the WPA security settings enabled. Thanks

using a 3300 wireless print server.

Set your router up first

Use WPA security
Broadcast SSID
use nothing else.

Using the USB cable, put in the 3300 print server disk and follow the instructions.

Now take the Printer drivers and install them in each computer. Choose Network, then shoose using a wireless print server. Follow the instructions.

Do NOT use WPA2 security. Some devices do NOT recognize that.

I can print, scan copy and fax using wireless.

You may want to update the firmware in the printer first, I had to.

Hello:

My equipments are the following:

1. ROUTER SMCWBR14T-G (Latest firmware installed)

2. DELL AIO 966 (Latest patch, drivers and firmware installed) + internal wireless card
With the Wireless encryption off => AIO 966 connects and works fine

With the Wirelles encription of the router on [ TKIP+AES (WPA/WPA2) ] and WPA encryption in the printer AIO 966, it doesn't connect.

I only have 2 levels of WPA encryption in the router:

TKIP+AES (WPA/WPA2)
AES (WPA2 only)

With the firts one the encription is TKIP - WPA (sure), beacuse I connect the WAN with a laptop and I configure the connection via WPA.

What can I do to get the AIO connected in a WPA protected WAN?

:-(
