A question regarding Roxio Creator 9.0 DE

Hello,

When I got my Dell Dimension 9200 in Jan 2007 it was dispatched with XP MCE OS that had Roxio Creator 9.0 DE.

Now I have moved to retail version of the Win 7 Ultimate x64 OS. I have the original CD "Roxio Creator 9.0 DE" cd that was dispatched with my computer.

I under my Drivers & Download in Dell's site for my service tag could find Vista x64 version of :Sonic Solutions Roxio Creator LE - VISTA 117725.

Now I want to know if I could install this Roxio Creator 9.0 DE using the cd that came with my computer in 2007 and then install the above patch for vista x64 from dell's Drivers and Download site so that Roxio become functional in my Win 7 Ultimate x64 OS?

However I would like to know if after my retail Win 7 OS installment, the Dell's OEM Roxio 9.0 disc will work? I am clueless about the OEM part of this Roxio creator 9.0 DE and the compatibility in retail Win 7 OS?

Would the Roxio Creator 9.0 DE OEM will some how recognise my Dell Dimension as a Dell mechine? { I have deleated all partitions prior to do a custom install of the Win 7 OS}

Hi You should have no problems per say. However, if you do run into any problems, then right click, select compatibility mode, then select Vista. Yes, your disc that roxio is on will see your dell mobo. Ps The DE in Roxio is short for Dell.

Hi snowshine, When you looking for drivers for Win 7, Vista drivers will work for Win7, be it 32bit vista for 32bit win7, and 64bit vista for 64bit win 7. Some have argued that Win 7 is an service pack for Vista.

Good, I could then try with the Vista x64 DE patch showing on the Drivers & Download. Thanking you for that information.
