Adobe Reader X

Everyone,

Just purchased Inspirion N5040 with preloaded Adobe Reader X.  However, when I tried to read a PDF document, Adobe screen stated "an internal error occurred".  Tried several times, restarted the computer, unistalled and reinstalled Adobe Reader X, still getting the same result. Any solutions?

HI ckoris,

Welcome to the Community.

I understand your concern. I see that you are getting “an internal error occurred” when you try to open through the Adobe reader X.

Please try by disabling sandboxing mode off. To disable sandbox mode off follow these steps

1. Launch Reader X

2. Go to Edit option -> Preferences-> General

3. There is an option Enable protected mode at start up

4. Uncheck the checkbox Click OK and quit reader

5. Then try launching your pdf file

Are you facing this error with all pdf files or this specific file?

Please reply back for any Questions

Thanks & Regards

My advice is to ditch the Adobe Reader and instead use PDF X-Change Viewer. It is far superior.

Took your advice and used the PDF X-Change Viewer. Worked like a charm.
