Asking for media experience disc?!

Question

When i try and open the dell media experience application it is asking me to insert the dell media experience disc which i don't have as it wasn't sent to me when i ordered my computer?! I'm not sure what to do now.....It has only recently started asking this so i am confused as to why? Any help would be appreciated Thankyou! :smileyindifferent:

There are many of us with the same problem, looking for DMX v3. You can contact customer service, and they will send you an older version that wasn't loaded on your computer. But it really doesn't solve our problem. Still waiting for answers.

yeah, i'm having the same problem.  and it's really weird because it was fine for the first day or two after my computer arrived.  i also talked to a dell agent and i believe that they sent me the same disk (like version 2.2 or something).  if anyone does find a way to get dmx 3.0, please let me know too.  thanks.

hi i am new to this  i have been through four  so called email agents in a week  they sent me dmx 2.1 twice and other cd`s i didn`t ask for   still waiting for dmx 3.0   had to send back the wrong cd`s back twice  the thing is they want me to send back the defective 3.0cd which i never got in the first place   thanks   chasbox  it`s nuts

I am experiencing the same problem.  My computer is about a month old.  I used DMX the first time and it worked.  I went to use it again last night and it wants to configure it and asks for a CD to install it.  I talked to Dell support and they said to download it, which is version 2.2.  My computer has v. 3.  Sounds like we all have a common problem.
