can't find excel, powerpoint and word!
Hi
i've had my new computer for only one day so i am still finding my way around it. I am running on XP Pro and have M/S office small business edition 2003 loaded onto it as part of the package.
I have set up my account with excel, powerpoint and word up and running but my partner cannot find them on her account. They don't appear on the "all programs" list either although microsoft office does.
Did I do something wrong when i set up the accounts? or when I put the shortcuts on the screen?
This is probably so simple but i've always been a bit of a luddite, any advice (in laymans terms please) would be most welcome.

If you put the shortcuts on the desktop for your account, and they aren't showing up on your partner's desktop, here's what you do...
Browse to c:\documents and settings\(your user name)\desktop
Cut those shortcut icons from that folder and paste them into:
c:\documents and settings\all users\desktop
Then the shortucut icons should appear for any user account logged into the system.
The Office install itself should have put the icons into the All Users start menu, so those apps should be accessible from any account already through the Start Menu.
Hope this helps,
~DR
